1 Day before

So today we were supposed to be at the water park but mother nature finally brought us cool weather and rain this whole week. Olivia was in great spirits and choose roller skating instead. Off to Skate City for 2 hours of fun with friends.
Olivia is still learning how to skate but was speed skating with a hand for assistance. After skating we went to our friends house to celebrate with them her Birthday and ate the yummy ice cream cake.

The cake turned out great and tasted great too.
Make a wish.

After the cake was present time! All the kids had to help .

I made a scrap book for Olivia from birth to present, and pages that can be added for future days.
After that the kids played outside and even played with left over fire works.
After a long fun filled day, home we went.

2 days to go

Today was part of Olivia's 7th Birthday Celebration. Her birthday is not until the 9th but so much to do in so little time. We headed to my favorite pedicure place and treated her to her first one.
I give her pedicures about every two weeks, but this is a whole lot better. She really loved it, even the tickley parts...
Olivia picked out purple polish and asked the lady to do a design too.
Her pretty little toes.

she was really interested in the drier .
And of course stopped at the Candy shop for a Carmel apple to share.

Of course I got the same color on my toes too.

Then we headed home to make her ice cream cake. Never made one before!

Crushed up oreo's (I ate all the fillings, yummy), 1 stick of melted butter, 2 containers of chocolate ice cream, frosting and coloring to decorate.

The ice cream was a little difficult to figure out how to get it smooth, hit - kitchen aid mixture with milk. Freeze again! The frost it and decorate as a family.

Cakes are some much better when you do them all together.
I just hope it taste good tomorrow!
(thanks Brianne for all your birthday tips you have posted)
