Family Fall Hike

We traveled to Devils Head Fire Lookout today or a nice 2 mile hike.  It was a prefect day.

We had to journey up some many stairs before reaching the top of the lookout tower.
I tried taking family photos with the autumn leaves.

Just a good day over all, even the dog thought so.

School run

Olivia did a fundraiser run for the heart association today.  She ran 2 miles with her friend Claire.

So proud of her.

Apple picking

We took a road trip to Penrose Colorado to pick some apples.  My friend Terri had me try these Jonalious Apples and they were the best.  After school Olivia, Everett and I went to the orchard.
Olivia's first time and she loved it.

there was even a horse that would eat anything that came its way.
23 pounds of apples we brought home and a dozen of fresh eggs.  Can't wait to start cooking.

Catch up

Olivia loves Finger knitting.  She made a collar for Punky, and a scarf for me.
Another day she made fortune tellers.  She made all of these out of three pieces of paper.  She said she did not waste anything.  So proud.
Last, just a nice sign to come home to for my husband.  Just a couple of things we have been up too.

I messed up

After school on Friday Olivia wanted to go to the pet store to see how much Tarantula are!
Yes the big dessert spider.
She is saving her money for one, and I do not like them.
Yike.
After we got Spider information on our way out she saw the mice.
She asked if we could get Dixie a treat.
Dixie is our out door cat and Olivia lately has an obsession about things being eating.
So I said sure why not.
Below is Olivia with her cat food she named poopy!
So Friday night went and the cats had no interested in a white red eye mouse.
I did not feed them Friday night so Saturday morning they were hungry.
But not for mice.
We went out for a family breakfast and Jon and I talked via text on what we were going to do.
(this is the only time i like texting)
We decided that it would be mean to just let it go, and she has been very good the last month so why not her own pet she can take care of.
It was only $2.
