Back to Boston

Jon's Mother Passed away last week.  We headed back to Boston for the funeral and to see family.

 One day while we were back there we went to the Boston Aquarium for a fun kids day.  Olivia's cousin Billie joined us for a fun day.

 So many cool fish to see, sharks, sting ray, and penguins were very entertaining.  We even saw a seal show.

 Saturday was the Funeral.  Jon with his sibling (2 sisters could not make it).  It was a beautiful peaceful time for the family.

 We went to a pottery place today.  Olivia picked out a tea set to paint.  Took 2 hours for her fine detail

work to be finished.
Such concentration!

School Valentine's Day

 Olivia's class had a Valentine's Party.  Some mom's came in and help decorate, arts and crafts, sacks and games.  Olivia really enjoyed passing out her valentines cards to her friends and Teacher.

 One of there snacks were healthy, plain yogurt with fruit and gram crackers.  Olivia ate about half before she decided the plain yogurt was not that good.  She did not eat her cupcake nor her rice crispy treat.  She opt to save those for her brothers.

 instead she ate all her fun candy she got from her friends.  What a fun day at school for the both of us.

Happy Valentine's Day

1-1-2012 run

 Olivia and her cousin Billie did the 5K race on new year morning.  I did a 10K race at the same time.

 The race started off chilly but a beautiful clear sky.

The girls did awesome and stayed together the whole time.

We all had a great run to bring in the new years!

 I am not a big Valentine's day person.  Having an 8 year old in the house, makes me think some times.  I got all these wonderful idea's from Brianna.  Thanks
I made a heart calender till Valentine's Day.  Inside is sweet things I do for Jon and Olivia.

 Then after christmas I bought candy canes to decorate with.  There are candy hearts all over the house.

 What a beautiful way to show you love them and see if every day for 14 days.

Ski Weekend

 WE pulled Olivia out of school on Friday and headed to monarch ski resort.  It was a little icy, but a beautiful day to ski.

On the lift before she took a huge fall.

on a hill that she has done before, she thought it was ok to go straight down.  Yea not a good idea nor on ice.  About half way down the hill Jon is racing to catch her she falls head over heals about 3-4 times.  Then a huge whale come out.  We thought she broke something.  After calming her down she was fine, a couple of bruise and a scratched eye.  After that she got back up and kept skiing for the rest of the day.

 We had a great day on the mountain.

We stayed at a local hotel 10 minutes from the mountain.  Heat pool, sauna, and hot tube.

Yes I got into all three.  They were hot!

 The next day we took an hour and half drive to Crested Butte Ski mountain.  First time for all of us there.
It was snowing when we got there which was perfect.  Fresh Powder.

Jon on his hill jumps.  I thought was a doing a trick but he ended up falling on his back pretty hard.  He got back up and kept skiing.

 8 inch's we got while we were there.  It was a great day, none of use wanted to leave.

But if it was snowing this much then how were the roads.  We headed out and had a safe drive all the way home.  What a great family get away.

Couples get away weekend

 Olivia has two weeks off for Christmas every year, her mom get her for a week and we get her for another.  When Olivia was with her mom, Jon and I took off for 2 days to go skiing.  We headed to Winter Park ski resort.  Neither of us had been there before.  We found a tubing hill and enjoyed that for a hour.

 The next day we skiing, and what a beautiful day.  Fun, no wind and just me and my hubby.

There was little snow to ski on but enough that Jon found the hills to jump over or on.

 We had a relaxing two days.

 Though out all of our travels each year, we try to get a Family picture to remember it.  At the end of the year we pick out the best nine pictures and make a college.  We make a huge print and then displayed it on our wall.  We even make a memory 5*7 for Olivia of all her adventures.  It is cool to share the memories.

Whole Webb Family

Late Birthday Surprise

So last night we all went out to dinner to celebrate my birthday.
While we waited for our dinner, I opened my two presents.
Olivia got me a black watch with rainbow peace signs on it.
Jon got me a pair of blue socks and my walmart cherries.
He said sorry it was not much but he spend too much on christmas!
Please don't get me wrong, but I was sitting there like what?
My husband got me this!  So I sat there very thankful for what I have but still pissed beneath the surface.
When we got home, Jon asked me if I wanted cherries.  I said know and just wanted to go to bed.
Yes I was having an Amy pity party, but not saying anything because Olivia was around.

Today I was all better and cleaning house. 
I opened my cherries and slowly ate them all day. 
When I got to the second layer I notice some paper.
I almost throw it away thinking Olivia dropped trash in there from all of our cleaning.
I opened it up and to my surprise......

My loving husband bought me tickets to Kenny Chesney Concert this Summer.
He put them in there and glues the box back up.  WOW...
I was blown away and called him right away.

Last day visit

 The first half of the day the girls just played all day long. 

 Then we headed to the Big lion park.  This park rescues big cats.

Lioger, have you heard of it?  It is a tiger and a lion mix.

 The lion behind the girls was the Las Vegas and Hollywood lion you always saw on TV. 
He knew he was pretty, he would even cross his legs.

The weather was not on our side but we all had a blast.  What a wonderful last day.

Olivia got a video camera from Nana and Grandpa Wayne. 
Thank you mum you were right she loves it.  I just need to buy rechargeable batteries, we been through a back of 12 already.  Great present.
