A day with Mary

 Friday night, Olivia got dropped off in woodland park to spend the night with Mary and AL.
Jon had Navy and I am at the fire station.  Saturday Mary and Olivia had a wonderful day.  Started off at the pond near Mary's house.  Then an adventure at the zoo.

 She got a pony ride!

 and even a fake pony ride, lol.

They had a wonderful day together. 

No training wheels

Today while Olivia was at her mom's house, she learned how to ride her bike.  Her 5 year old brother learned and showed Olivia how it was done.  We got a call today telling us what she did, but it was a surprise.  When Olivia got home this evening she wanted to ride her bike and wanted the training wheels off.  Jon took them off and away she went.  She said, look Daddy I can do it.  Look at her go!  So thrilled.

Texas second update

 Tuesday, Jon went fishing on a boat with the Clowe's and the rest of us went to the beach and had a picnic for lunch.  Olivia enjoyed running in the water, and then feeding the birds her crust.

Wednesday morning some of use got up around 630 to see the sun rise.  It was cloudy but we still got a glimps of it.  Peaceful

Texas Trip part one

 First day of Corpus Christi was beach.  Mum and I took a walk and found a cool place to take a picture

 On this beach there were Jelly Fish every where.  After Jon was done trying to eat it, he throw it back in the water.

 On Monday we went to the USS Lexington Museum. 

 Can you notice Olivia only has on one shoe?  Jon pick up Olivia and it fell into the ocean be low...

After the Museum, mum and I walked this walk to look for it. No luck. We did find hermit crabs and brought three back for the kids to look at. 

When we return to the beach Olivia cam running up and stated her shoe washed a shore.  Yea...

Just a little more

 After a couple of hours at the beach we needed a break.  We found a park a dolphins in the water.  Olivia found a dead shrimp near the Pier. 

 Olivia played, and the rest of us got burned in the sun.  We had a good day.

Vacation update

 Monday we visited the USS Lexington.  It did not look so big up close but man it was huge inside.

 The stairs were very steep, you defiantly got a work out in with this tour.

At the end we locked up Olivia and left her in jail...lol  (more to follow)

Boston

three weeks ago we flew back to Boston for Jon's Mothers funeral.

A said time for us but a memorial trip for the cousins.

We went to the aquarium one day and then to the beach the next.

St. Patricks Day

Colorado Springs has a big parade every year. 

AMR had the honor guard and an ambulance in the parade this year. 

Olivia and I were able to drive the ambulance and to be in it. 

Best part of it is I got paid to do it too.

They all marched great and I did not run over any of them!

5k run/walk

Last Tuesday, mum and I went to Jack Quinn's run.  We walked half and ran half of the 3.2 mile run.  Mum did a great job.  Yes that little dog is really 16 pound miniature poodle that just got a shaving.  and Yes he looks like a rat!

Last hike

 I not know why but every time mum comes out I get sick at the end.  I called in sick on Sunday due to a fever and feeling awful.  Monday morning was iffy but it was mum's last day.  Two cups of coffee and we were up and out.  He headed for a hike close to home.  St. Mary Falls.  4 mile round trip, was a gradual climb to 9000ft.  We had a beautiful day, wonderful bright blue sky, and time together.

 My mum is amazing on how she keeps up with the altitude.  She is a trooper!

 Even through the icy parts she was amusing and  but kept going with no hesitation.

Thanks mum for coming out.  I really Love your visits and wish they were longer.  Next time bring Grandpa!

Play time

 We have had beautiful weather for March while mum has been out.  Olivia and her bounced on the trampoline for a while yesterday.

 We jumped until we were tired, which was not long! 

Skiing

 It has been over 12 years since my mom has been skiing.  Yesterday was a partly sunny day with a high of 8 degrees and 30 mile an hour winds.  So it felt like -5 degrees.  What a wonderful day to get back on skis!

 Mom did great and Olivia loved skiing with her.  It was a great day.

No injures to report, besides sore bones, and lots of laughs.

 Olivia even did the jumps this time (with no toe clip)!  Yea

 There last run together.  Mom did great and Olivia has learned so much this year on skiing. 

What a great family day.
