Big Dog Brag

Olivia and I did a fun mud run today.  I did a 5k with two other friends.  Olivia did it with 4 other kids. She had a blast getting dirty.
At the beginning she was such a competitor.
She loved this water slide

I even took a break from pictures and joined in Olivia fun run
She climbed to the very top of the rope and went all the way across this way.  Way to go!
She never seemed scared of any of it.  It was really awesome to see her complete this.
She was beat at the end.  She just wanted to rinse off.  We had a great day in the run doing two races.

Hair Duo

This is what Olivia thought would be cute on me.  I sported it for the rest of the night.

Friday fun

First off sorry for no pictures.
I totally forgot the camera today :)

On Friday's I baby sit my friends 9 month old son.
I got off from work and picked him up.
I came home to enjoy the morning with my family.
Jon had a video shot at AMR in the morning.
When he got home we backed up and went to a water park in Denver.
It was a blast.  Yes people I went in the water.
It was 90 degrees today and I was hot.  The water felt good when you got in.
3 hours of water fun with the four of us.
After the sunny fun, we headed home.

Olivia and baby slept the whole way home.
They were both beat.

Everyone had a Great Colorado Sunny Day

Sleepover

Today consisted of swimming, BBQ, trampolines, pogo stick, tormenting dogs and cat, and TV time to relax.
I do have to say the tramoline was a great purchase last summer.
This summer was a lot easier then last summer.  Not a much screaming....Yea

Basement update

I have not posted much about our basement.  Jon has done all the work him self.  Plumbing, framing, and what ever the inspectors wanted him to do.  He passes last week.  Jon was thrilled and bought all the sheet rock.  This is two days of work.
Hanging it from the ceiling is not fun at all.  If you want a great shoulder work out come join us.

Day Camp Day 2

Olivia is in Rainbow Trail camp for a week.  She is having a blast.  Today they went miniature golfing.  She has been twice total, and after a few pointers on holding the club and how to stand she did great.
The picture above she was lining up the ball to cross the bridge.
She did so good, I am proud of her.

Olivia's 9th Birthday

Olivia loved her butterfly cupcakes. She was trick with relighting candles.
I love her expressions with her face.  This present is a bike basket.
The next two are tea cup pigs and four outfits too.

We had a great 9th birthday.  Earlier today we went to Denver Children's Museum.  We all did lost of crafts together, the birthday sign is what Jon made.  Olivia made a helicoper out of recycled material, two other pictures, a rocket and a parechutte.  Then we went to a resturaunt that had a water fall, shows every 15 minutes and a spooky cave.  What a great day in Denver trying two new things or a wonderful day.

June 25th Elbert Fire

Though the grass fire that began Sunday around noon just west of the town of Elbert ballooned to 600 acres, fire crews reached a containment level of 90 percent Sunday night.  Monday Falcon got called out to help and I got to go.  It was mostly out, we just had to do the clean up part.
The morning consisted of cooling the ground off.  When you applied water it would just steam and your feet in your boot were very hot.  It was the craziest thing.  At lunch time the fire picked up and we got to see and fight some.

They brought in two planes to drop slur.

After lunch we made good progress and our west side of the fire was mostly out.
After dinner the East side of the fire picked up in several places.
We were able to leave around 8pm that night.  Other crews stayed for another day.
It was such a cool experience to be in.                                    ME
