Church Egg Hunt

 Church Annual egg hunt.  They had a quick sunday school lesson on Easter, arts and crafts on the brown bag HEaven is carrying and then found yummy chocolate eggs!

 She was tickles pink, she has not done this since she was 5 years old.  Glad to make her feel like a kid again!

Long over due

 Basement progress: Jon was in the middle of sheet rocking and had to go back to Boston for his sister.
So we hired somebody to finish the sheet rock, mud and taping.  When he got back he started to paint.
Two rooms are completed and  one room has first coat of paint.

 The girls had a couple of snow days back to back in February, so we tried a craft. It did not work well.
YOu place beads in a pan and bake for 20 minutes.  IT is suppose to pop out of the pan, it did not.
Then you hang them outside as sun catchers.   The girls broke trying to get them out, this one was a friends.

 Then on a snow day Olivia was busy for 3 hours building a snow cave!

 Mom Came out at the end of February for the Baby Shower, and of course it snowed the whole time.

 A family night out we went to Sky Zone a trampoline place.

And this white face kitty is our newest kitty that came with Heaven.  She likes drinking out of sinks so now she does it when we are not around.  But I caught her this day!

 St. Patrick's Day, the girls woke up to green things.

 The pee was more green the night before, lol.

 Spring Break : (Olivia is in Georgia with her mom for two weeks.)  March 24th, we headed to Denver for court.  Before court we stopped at HEavens old school so she can visit her friends.  Then we headed to court.  Heaven spoke to the judge and told her she did not want to go back home and wanted to stay with us.  The judge is going to start Terminating mom's writes but gave her mom 60 more days to straighten up.

 One day it snowed, so we went to the indoor pool.

 I am organizing the Easter Egg hunt again for Falcon and the neighbors kids wanted to help.  They helped with 500 eggs of stuffing.

Then we came home and found the dog chowing down on snickers and milky ways!

That is a quick catch up with our life!

Monthly Updates

Sorry no picture this time, just don't have time to down load yet.

Today is the 24th week of pregnancy.  It is going well, no complications, no side effects, just enjoying all the kicking and growing belly.

A week ago my mom came out for the baby shower and for a visit.  It was a wonderful visit but it snowed the whole time.  The baby shower went well, and got some items we totally need for baby.

Olivia is good, nothing new for know, no sports just school.

Heaven just finished basketball and made three baskets on her last game.  She is now in girls on the run after school two ties a week and she loves it.  Glad she picked it out and comes home smiling about it.

Jon is hanging in there.  His sister passed away a week ago, has another sister in the hospital and now is step father has cancer and goes in for surgery this week.  Jon has a very heavy heart right now.
Positive note, Jon got a call from a Master Chief on saturday asked for Jon to come out to the field with him and run the medical side again.  Jon was already signed up fro two weeks for this but now he is waiting orders for the whole month.  What a great thing to have a E9 call you up and ask personally for you!

Basement update

Yesterday, Jon called for the basement to be inspected.  It passed all four inspections with no problems.

Now it is time to insulate.

Good Egg

 Yesterday we all went to the 18 week Ultra sound.  Baby is now to size it should be, and healthy with no issues.

 Baby was moving every where during the ultra sound and by the end it went to sleep and the tec was happy.  Heaven was thrilled, Olivia was quiet, Jon and I were happy to see everything is all good.

Basketball

 Heaven wanted to play Basketball for her first sport.  Olivia and I cheer her team on.

 Heaven had some good blocks and rebounds, no points.

I just could not deal with Olivia any more, This is her new area!

 Totally just joke, her grandmother bought her a sugar glider cage for christmas and we put it together yesterday.  Olivia wanted to see if she could fit, of course she could she is tiny.

Then it was Olivia's turn to cook, left of steak with spaghetti.  It was pretty good except for me, meat and pregnancy is not going well.  She did a good job and Heaven ate thirds.

Skiing

 Jon took Heaven skiing for her first time.  She did ski lessons ll day and loved it.  We are hoping to take the girls skiing in a week.

Oh yeah, in Colorado in 5th grade you get a free season ski pass to 10 resorts.  So the girls get to ski free this year!

Birthday Celibration

 Heaven and I share the same birthday.  She celebrate her 11th year.  Heaven wanted to go roller skating for her birthday so we did.

 It was Heavens third time and loved it.  After skating we headed to the mall so she could use some Christmas and Birthday gift cards.  We surprised her with asking her if she wanted her ears pierced.  She was excited and got them pierced.

After the mall we went to dinner at Texas Steak house.  Yummy Steak and bread!
What a fun day.

The last night we made two cakes one for Heaven and one for me to celebrate our Birthdays.

On our way out to Arizona we stopped at the grand Canyon.  Olivia and Heavens first time.
The morning started off really cold but it was a little warmer the time we left.

New baby

About four years ago Jon and I started to try to have a baby.  After one miscarriage after 8 weeks, low sperm count, we decided to do IUI three years ago as a study trial.  5 rounds and nothing happened.   

We were done, already signed up for adoption we figure that was our only way to make our family grow.  

After waiting and nothing for the adoption we came back to the idea of maybe IVF.  Mmm, not natural at all, was my thought and it totally was not.   Lots of medications, blood draws, we finally decided to do only one round.  

October 6th the pulled out 16 embryos

October 7th, 10 make it to fertilization

October 8th, 6 made it, I got really sick with all the medication changes 

and started to retain water in  my abdomen.

October 10th, I was getting better

October 11 only two embryos made it.  Two were put back in.

October 21st was blood work

October 22, we found out we were pregnant

(found out also I do not carry good health embryos)

We had out first ultra sound at 6 weeks.  One baby but heart rate was low, and size was small.

Doctor was concern and now we were too.

Seven weeks another ultra sound.

Still one baby (double checked) baby grew but still small, 

and heart rate made it too 141!  

we got the all clear to go to our doctor finally.

Nausea and tired was the only minor symptoms, all went away at 9 weeks.

After several weeks wondering if it was still in there, 

Doctors appointment yesterday confirm baby is doing great,

175 heart rate, grow is a little small but not concerning, and I gained 7 pounds all together!

We are Happy for our new growing family.

New addition

Thursday December 4th 2014

Jon gets a call from our caseworker stating an 11 year old girls is available if we can take her and we get her tomorrow.   No name, white for race, 11 years old female is all we get.  

Friday December 5th 2014

I take off of work and help Jon get the house and room ready. 

Her room had a bed, and a dresser.

She arrives around 3pm with a book bag and the cloths on her back.  

Heaven, 11 years old, 

Brown hair, tall, 90 pounds soaking wet, skinny girl.  

We were informed she had a whole room of stuff coming saturday even a bike!  

Yeah was our thoughts...

We bonded over a Christmas party for kids, over Santa, games, and all you can eat food.

Saturday December 6th  

3 filer boxes and a bag of toys came to our house.  She was tickled pink.  

Monday December 8th

Shopping trip for winter cloths, and hanger.

Tuesday December 9th

Birth certificate comes, she is 10 years old, dob 1/1/04

Hispanic race (looks nothing like it)

and she found out she was born in another city. 

Register her for school, 

no medical shot records in Colorado for Heaven.

Basement

 Jon has been working hard in the basement.  He is working here in the custom shower for a seat for Mum to sit when she gets old!!!  Olivia calls it the garage seat as the wood came out of the dumpster.

 Mom and Dad and any other guest here is your room to be with no walls.  Electrical is all done and pluming is half way.  Jon needs to finish framing the shower  and pluming and then the permit will be pulled!

Thanksgiving

 Monday before Thanksgiving we got company! Kristen and Jonathan came out for a visit and some painting.  Kristen met Lily and Myla, Lily is below.  I asked if they could stop on there trip at our house to paint a forest for Olivia while she was visiting her mother.  Kristen did an amazing job!

 I made cornish game hens, corn, mash potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, herb rolls and Kristen made a pumpkin cheese cake.  It was my first thanksgiving with Family in town and loved ever bit of it.  Jon and Jonathan hung christmas lights too!

 It was a blessed day with family!  Olivia got home late Saturday night and loved her room.  Jon and I got some many Thank you but one big one goes to Kristen as Olivia was not able to tell her in person!
