December 2017 Recap

We had very warm days for December.  After Therapy we stopped by the big slides to get some energy out.
Made a felt tree for Abigail to play with, in hopes she would not play with the real tree.  (She does not play with either tree!)
Heaven had her school Musical which was called Once on this Island and she did amazing as Mama!
Took Abigail to open gymnastic and she is loving the balance beam.  She developmental skills are finally catching up.
We went to the forest to get our tree this year.  Heaven is so strong now, she can show off her strength with a 6 foot tree.
Heaven helps out once in a while at a local stables in exchange for free lessons.
James and Emma both got an award at school for good behavior.
Emma and James had a Christmas party at the end of there 2017 school year!

we have had very little snow this year and the kids were persistent about making a snow man.
Emma made this at girl scouts.  After the holidays cookie sales will begin soon!
two days of making cookies for the neighbors, we made 6 different types of goodies and over 15 dozen of sweets! All the kids did great with there hands and not licking anything.  I figured out if you give Abigail the stuff to lick she is sick of sweets and wants no more.
we went to the fire station to see Santa.  Parents bring the gift for Santa to give out.  This year I was on a roll, I made two out of four kids cry on Santa's lap!  James wrote to Santa and asked for a real baby brother.  I had to mess with that and Santa gave him a boy doll for him to play with his sisters and the doll had a note stating he does not give out real babies so here is a toy baby.  (he plays with the doll daily and sleeps with it too)!
Heaven got a book called Love you forever by Robert Munsch.  It is her favorite book when she was a kid, and Santa had to bring that to her.  Her's was a cry at least.

Kids sang a song at church for Christmas.
Couple nights sewing I finally got Emma and Abigail there baby doll carriers made.  I hope they love them!

I have my little slaves, wait I mean elves making next year's Christmas cards.

We finish off with a little ice skating before Christmas.  James is learning how to stop instead of falling.  Emma just has so much confidence while skating, I love it.    Abigail has a love hate with it.

November recap 2017

We have been busy with so much stuff just did not take a lot of photos.  We wrote Santa letters earlier this month.  James asked Santa for a real baby Brother, and Abigail asked for a real peppa Pig.  The sweetest of all was Heaven asking Santa for her brother and sisters to get what they wanted.  Love that sweet soul!
Jon took Heaven to an Air Force Football Game.  It was a really chilly night but they both had a great time sporting off there navy sweats they wore.
Random day time pictures of Abigail, while the others are in school, She loves her Zoey.

played doctor with her friends.
We all went for a hike on thanksgiving week off.

We made out Thanksgiving Hands for the window.

Emma and Abigail playing in the cupboards while I was making dinner.
On our way to the doctors we stopped at a pond that had a lot of Canadian Geese.  We are not aloud to feed them because Colorado does not want them here.  Still really cool.
Thanksgiving day was relaxing.  Jon and Heaven hung up the Christmas lights outside.  James, Abigail and I were like.  Dinner turned out really good.  Jon made his first Turkey and it made the house smell really good. Thanksgiving weekend Jon took the younger three horse back riding.
We saw Santa already.  I am telling you right after Thanksgiving is prefect.  Santa is not busy and spends time with all the kids.
And lastly was yesterday.  Abigail had her monthly infusion of Iron.  A normal 1 hours there max and we are headed home.  Not today, we arrive at 855 and left at 120pm.  The nurse missed the first two attempts.  She called for a picu nurse with ultra sound to come down.  They found a vein in her right wrist and after 5 minutes the vein blew and Abigail was screaming.   I uncovered her from the warm blanket and saw it and called for the nurses.  We had to wait for an hour for the swelling to go down and to see if there was going to be a reaction.  Then the picu nurse cam again and tried again with no luck and then she brought in another nurse and they finally got it done.  20 minutes into the 30 minute infusion Abigail started to tell me it hurt.  The nurse came back it but we kept it going as the splint was to tight and was causing issues.  We finally got the infusion.  Good new after wards that the first one worked really good but not sure for how long.  Her neutrophil numbers where up, white cell count was up, red blood was down and her iron was normal.  The doctor does not know how to explain it.  No more infusion for now.  Just blood work and we will see.  after all what Abigail went through the nurse got Abigail a toy out of the treasure box.  She calls it her big girl toy for ouches.
She is such a champ with all this.

Cabo

October 12-17th we traveled with the family, my mom and dad, my aunt and uncle, and my co workers family of 6 to Cabo.  The travel was good and smooth.  Just made for long days with the kids.
We had a lot of sand time, and beach time.  That is our resort behind them.
The current was strong time some days so they would not swim at this beach.

They released 1 day old turtles that they hatched on the beach right out side our hotel.  They said every am they look in the beach for eggs, they back them back to hatch them and then release on the same beach about where they were found.  over 500 turtles made it to the ocean this night.  We did see a crab try several time to take a turtle but the crab never won.
One night was karaoke night and this kids danced in the grass.  Heaven sang two songs this first night.
We went snorkeling twice at a beach down the road.  Emma did amazing just floating and watching.  Heaven was diving down to get closer, and James was wiggling so much the fish swam away.
Jon even got in with his cast to enjoy the water.
Went on a glass bottom boat so the kids could see fish.  That was really cool.  Went to the pacific side of the ocean as well.  Saw a ship wrecked boat by the arch too.
A lot of pool time as it was 90-95 plus humidity.

And then there is Emma that had no fear and got up on stage and sang her favorite song.  She only hears it in the car and she did amazing!  Every one clapped when she finished Taylor shift Shake it off!

We had a good trip, Abigail is loving being home, I think everyone else could have stayed for a couple more days easily.

Ice skating

This was the kids second time ice skating except Abigail.  This was her first.  Emma loves it and grins from ear to ear.  I wish we lived closer so she can do this more.  There was an instructor on the ice and he gave her some pointers.

Abigail was thrilled to put this cute shoes on, not a fan walking with them.
Here is Emma learning how to spinn
Abigail and James playing with the buckets.  This is not James favorite this but he loved the bucket time.
Heaven brought a friend to have some teenager time with.  I think they talked the whole time!

Pancake rock Hike

Pancake rock is 5 mile round trip.  I done it once and really wanted to take the kids this year.  I warned them it would be a hard hike and they all did great.  Abigail fell asleep 10 minutes into the walk.  Emma, James and Heaven did great for the 2.5 miles up the mountain.  It was a chili day but beautiful blue sky.
 Where is Abigail?

The Fall leaves were beautiful and I love being outside with the kids.  This is my peace!
When we got to the top we had lunch, and the kids played.  This was James kitchen and Abigail had to join brother.
one of the tallest rocks the kids wanted to climb.

James wanted to take a family photo, I don't think he understood he was not in it.  Well his thumb is in it!  Hee Hee
