Lift

 Jon was painting again today with the lift.  After school Olivia asked if she could go up in it. 

 Why not, lets she what she has when it some to heights.  She did great, a little worries but what that is expected when you are taller then the house.

Spartan Race

 This morning I got up at 530am and ran with my friend Terri 8 wonderful miles with our dogs.  After our run, I talked to Jon and he was not able to do his Spartan race today.  I headed home and ate and changed and met him there.  Jon signed in and I took his number.  I ran with 5 of his Navy members.  We started off so clean and feeling great. 

 The obstacles were harder and longer then Tough Mudder (last years race). 

 Even this soapy climb was not bad.  O yea if you did not finish the obstacle or did not do it you had to do 30 burpies.  They were not fun!

 Picture below shows me going to the area to do my burpies.  I missed my one throw grenade toss.

 Then we climbed a rope, first I fell in to the cold water then I climbed.  Not easy when it is covered in mud!  Yea I missed the top and more burpies for me...

 The end was my favorite cause it was easier and less muddy.

 Over all it was a wonderful race and hope I can do this with Jon next year.

O yea Jon hurt his neck a couple of days ago and he can not turn his neck.  The doctor said pinch nerve but it is not getting better, hints he did not race. 

I am bet and going to bed.  lol

Dress up

Olivia Dressed up for India day at school.  Thanks to a friend that let us barrow there costume.

Estes Park and Rockie Mountain National Park

 We checked into our hotel and then looked for dinner.  Olivia found it quick.  lol

Today we drove into Rocky Mountain National Park and went on a couple of hikes.  First we walked around Bear Lake.  Jon and Olivia had a blast in the snow, while the temperature was barley 32 degrees.  Brrrr

 Then to some falls and a lake!  It was so breath taking. 

 On our way home we stopped at another entrance and hiked to some more falls. 

Over all I think we hiked 4.5-5 miles today.  Olivia was a trooper.  Some how when I plan these great free get aways it is always cold!  but We always make the best of it.  Hope you had a great weekend as well.

Art Show

 Olivia's school had an Art show this evening.  Olivia Made a snake and it was in the first room.  She was so proud to show it off.  What a creative snake.

Today

 We are getting ready to sell our house at the end of summer.  My task is a little landscaping. 
Two roses planted next to Jons cactus.  Then bark laided down.

 Our front yard dead tree was cut down and I planted 6 more perennials.  I hope they grow a little.

Then I took Punky to Jack Quinn's run and he got his 10th time water bowl.  Yea...

A day with Mary

 Friday night, Olivia got dropped off in woodland park to spend the night with Mary and AL.
Jon had Navy and I am at the fire station.  Saturday Mary and Olivia had a wonderful day.  Started off at the pond near Mary's house.  Then an adventure at the zoo.

 She got a pony ride!

 and even a fake pony ride, lol.

They had a wonderful day together. 

No training wheels

Today while Olivia was at her mom's house, she learned how to ride her bike.  Her 5 year old brother learned and showed Olivia how it was done.  We got a call today telling us what she did, but it was a surprise.  When Olivia got home this evening she wanted to ride her bike and wanted the training wheels off.  Jon took them off and away she went.  She said, look Daddy I can do it.  Look at her go!  So thrilled.

Texas second update

 Tuesday, Jon went fishing on a boat with the Clowe's and the rest of us went to the beach and had a picnic for lunch.  Olivia enjoyed running in the water, and then feeding the birds her crust.

Wednesday morning some of use got up around 630 to see the sun rise.  It was cloudy but we still got a glimps of it.  Peaceful

Texas Trip part one

 First day of Corpus Christi was beach.  Mum and I took a walk and found a cool place to take a picture

 On this beach there were Jelly Fish every where.  After Jon was done trying to eat it, he throw it back in the water.

 On Monday we went to the USS Lexington Museum. 

 Can you notice Olivia only has on one shoe?  Jon pick up Olivia and it fell into the ocean be low...

After the Museum, mum and I walked this walk to look for it. No luck. We did find hermit crabs and brought three back for the kids to look at. 

When we return to the beach Olivia cam running up and stated her shoe washed a shore.  Yea...
